We are in the process of contacting kids who went on programs and attended camps we recommended this past summer. Here are some of the comments from our California office:
Christopher loved it. He said it was great socially and academically; although I think the social aspect was the most important for him.
He loved Barcelona. He complained that they didn’t have enough free time to just hang. As a parent, that is great news, less trouble to be found!!!!
Carly’s trip was fantastic! She blossomed and really pushed herself to do things, e.g. take the redeye to Newark, alone, to meet a leader at 7am ALL BY HERSELF; go ALL ALONE on the trip with no friend; go for 3 weeks instead of two; eat baby termites (yuck!); live in conditions less than comfortable with bugs, etc; and she loved it all.
Ashley really enjoyed camp and had lots of fun there. She really wants to go back.
The camp was very good with us, too and very accommodating. I loved that we could call the our children the second week they were there. They had lots of activities and encouraged the kids to do a lot of them. Ashley said she was very busy every day and made lots of friends and as a girl on her own it was easy to make friends.
We will post more as we receive them! We are already getting calls for next summer, so keep in touch!
